| In this high-stress and aging society, the issues related to home caring services have become increasingly important in recent years. This research presents a remote biomedical signal monitoring scheme that provides an instant examining interface for regular users, patients or possible medical staffs at remote locations. This scheme consists of Android-based mobile devices, a computing server, and biomedical signal collecting facilities. A server provides computing resources to help reduce the complexity and cost of mobile/wearable devices, acting as an information sharing medium to support remote health monitoring. The mobile devices are responsible for collecting, transmitting and displaying real-time biomedical signals. The implementation tries to achieve the balance between low cost and real-time monitoring for several users and can be further extended to other biomedical signals collected by voltage signal amplifiers so that more general home caring services can also be supported. |
